The smaller Dragonballs are promotional items when purchasing DBZ game on gamecube (5-star) and PS2 (4-star) exclusive to Asia. These I think were later remade with all 7 stars and released by Bandai as a memorial set (readily available from ebay for around $25-$35). They are quite small. The bigger Dragonballs were imported from Japan and they cost me $200+ for the set. They are 1:1 real life size Dragonballs as you can see compared to the quarter. I purchased them few years ago from Yahoo Auctions in Japan but I may have seen them once or twice on ebay a few years ago.

Nope. I didn’t see any type of label or brand on it. I bought it in an auction so all it came with were the balls each in a plastic boxes with a little red plastic case. :(

I think the ones that on eBay, though, are bootlegged.
I found some on Y!J, unfortunately, they’re not the ones like yours. They’re these lit-orb thingies. Bah.

I’m not too sure who manufactured it but it was available only in Japan. You might want to try yahoo japan searching “Dragon Box”. One time I saw someone selling Dragon Box Z vol.1 and 2 and threw in these 1:1 dragonballs as extras.
I absolutely cannot find the 1:1 Dragonballs.

I have searched and searched!! I’ve debated just getting the cheapish set from eBay (the smaller ones) but I’m a little skeptic with the sellers for authenticity.
Do you happen to know who manufactured the 1:1 Dragonballs? Was it Toei?

Hi. Normally I google “yahoo auctions japan” and when I get there, I search “???????” which is Dragonball in japanese. And I just scroll through the auctions. Most times, they are around 18,000yen+. But I just scrolled through it and didn’t see anyone selling them.
Could you point me in the direction of where I could get the 1:1 balls? My Japanese isn’t that great and I tried searching yahoo japan auctions but I don’t know what to search for exactly? Do you think you could tell me what words you used to search with (in Japanese?) Or perhaps you know of somewhere else I could get them? My husband and I are huge DB fans and would really like to have the full size ones.

yup, i’ve seen the small ones before. I thought about getting it but I wanted the 1:1 size ones so it looked more authentic. :)
