Is lead crystal safe to use just as decoration?

I know lead can seep from crystal into drinks, but is it possible that decorations, such as sculptures and figures, can also somehow be toxic?

    Only if you are eating glass chips, or bits of paint off them. Which doesnt sound like a good idea, lead or not.
