@r0ckyp0p We cannot surely say that Mishil is not in the history of Korea. Her identity might’ve been removed from the history because of treason or other reasons.

@r0ckyp0p Actually, she wasn’t in the national historical texts, but she was mentioned in the Hwarang Records. The Hwarang were an elite group of soldiers of Shilla that were feared by even the Tang Chinese. Chinese historical texts say that when the Chinese emperor asked his generals whether they could conquer Unified Shilla, they refused mentioning the Hwarang’s superiority in combat. You can see in the drama how Mishil had distinctive soldiers by her side, they were part of the Hwarang.

lady mishil is part of korean history. but dokman and mishil were not enemies. the writer just made the story more interesting by adding lady mishil in dokman’s time. it will be more interesting to have a woman-to-woman battle. BRAIN and BEAUTY. both dokman and mishil gained a great influence to their respective time.

Her vast power was proved when she influenced the various nobles to expel Jinji from his throne. 2 of her sons (through her many relations), Lords Hajong & Bojong, became the 16th and 11th Pungwolju (minister), correspondingly. It is also true that bi dam, is her son (in other words bi dam is also a real person.
@r0ckyp0p you’re wrong, lady mishil in indeed in the history, She live between 540 – 640 her family was so powerful in old silla so she gained the qualification of being a jingol ( a noble/ or a prophet ) Mishil became powerful because of his relations with kings of silla, she is a concubine. She was the wife of lord sejong, love interest of general seolwon, concubine of three successive kings of silla (King jinpyeong , king Jinji and King Jinpyeong (the father of Seon Deok).
