- I’ve heard it’s unsafe to store your Whiskey in a lead crystal decanter. Is any kind of crystal decanter safe?
These really are remarkable glasses. The way they feel in my hand is what sets them apart from all other glasses–the glass itself is so remarkably thin, that the act of drinking becomes focused more on the drink than on the glass. They are so clear and so simple, you can’t help looking at them. Watching ice melt becomes its own pastime. In three years of regular use (including raucous parties and rough dishwasher loadings), the only glass I’ve broken was inadvertently knocked from my upstairs balcony onto the concrete patio below. This is an excellent glass!

For drinking whiskey on the rocks, there is no better glass. The thinness of the glass enhances the flavor of the bourbon or scotch served in them.
Because they are thin, they need to be handled carefully when cleaning or filling with ice. I have broken several but consider that to be par for the course.
