Want to buy wine glasses. I saw some Czech 24% lead crystal cheaper than Crystal D’Ar what is the difference?

What would be good quality but not extremely expensive wine glasses that I could buy. Is heaviers Lead Crystal better than those that are lighter?

My quess is lower labor cost for the Czech crystal. The amount of lead in the production of crystal glass has to due with it’s properties to be able to be etched. As with any good crystal, hand wash only as the detergents and high temperatures of a dishwasher will compromise their integrity. Buy a set of glasses that you like and enjoy their joy of use.

Don’t buy Czech – it won’t last as long.
Crystal d’ Arc is actually just a brand name – I don’t think it’s real lead chrystal – it’s mass produced, good quality and it lasts (until you drop it) and lasts. good designs too.

    Yes, wash by hand only.
